Find Catholic Homeschool Curriculum for Your Family

You just might be a candidate for Catholic homeschool curriculum if deep religious values and personal beliefs are two of your main reasons to start homeschooling.

Many want the features found in a Catholic home school curriculum when they decide to teach at home. There are several options available from traditional to online programs.

Reasons to Start Homeschooling

Some families have chosen to teach at home because they are...

  • concerned about the violence in schools and want to enjoy the benefits of homeschooling
  • unwilling to send their children to schools where they might be negatively influenced by their peers
  • unconvinced of the ability of the schools to adequately prepare their children scholastically for the future
  • unwilling to surrender their children to be trained by instructors who are controlled by a secular government
  • seeking to exercise their rights to educate their children at home under their guidance so that the family's values and beliefs can be transferred to the next generation

Homeschool Curriculum

If the last bullet point highlights your reason for educating your children at home and you want to use a Catholic home school curriculum with your child, consider some of these educational resources:

The Angelicum Academy, www.angelicum.net, is a complete curriculum which covers Nursery through twelfth grades

Kolbe Academy, www.kolbe.org, provides an Ignatian, Classical, and Magisterial philosophy to home school families of children in Kindergarten through high school levels

Mother of Divine Grace School, www.motherofdivinegrace.org, is a home school program that teaches parents to develop a Catholic, classical curriculum in their homes

These are just three Catholic home school curriculum choices that a quick Google search produced for me. There are many more out there and "word of mouth" may be your best form of advertisement. So, ask around and see what others are using with their children.
